We are very happy to announce the launch of Discussions a totally new feature for all of Blimp users.

Discussions allow teams to send and receive messages about a project while keeping everything organized and in a central location. The new discussions feature is really easy to use and it does everything you might expect. Create a discussion, attach files from your computer, Dropbox or Google Drive, reply directly from your email client and even start the discussion by sending an email.

Works with email

That last feature is what we think is really cool about discussions. Now when you create a project, that project will have a unique email address that you can share with your team and client. When someone sends an email to that address that message will start a new discussion and everyone on the team will be notified.

To make it even more extensible we have an option to make the email address available to anyone on the internet. That way you can share the email address with people or services related to the project and all messages will be organized correctly and safely stored. You can even share this email address with people not using Blimp at all.

We think this is a super useful feature that many of you have been requesting for a while and we hope you like it. As always we really want to know what you think, so please send us an email us or send a tweet to @Blimp.
